OUR local community deserves the green spaces to enjoy with their families, something Member for Forde, Bert van Manen MP understands all too well.
Mr van Manen is announcing today that he has secured funds to provide further upgrades to Rosemallow Parkland, in the rapidly growing Coomera Springs area.
Since 2022 the park has seen a new playground, shade sails, fencing, fitness area and half basketball/netball court built, and now the LNP is pledging to construct a new amenities block.
“It’s a pleasure to be working in partnership with Gold Coast City Council to deliver this much-needed project for the northern Gold Coast,” Member for Forde, Bert van Manen MP said.
“It’s such a pleasure to be able to provide the facilities that all the young families in this area deserve.
‘From speaking to people in the vicinity, we know Rosemallow Parkland is well utilised by the community.
“This is another demonstration that a Peter Dutton led LNP Government will continue to deliver for our Forde community.”
The LNP will provide $200,000 of the $400,000 build – with Gold Coast City Council to fund the difference.
Mr van Manen was joined at the announcement by Gold Coast City Council Deputy Mayor, Cr Donna Gates.
“It needs amenities here, so people can come and have a barbecue and enjoy all that is on offer,” Cr Gates said.
“It’s just wonderful news that Bert is prepared to help deliver the final stage,” she said.
